Letter from the President

Dear Galatasarayli,

I would like to share some news with you:

The first issue that I need to talk about is our finances.
As you know, I already sent our members via email the financial reports of the GSUSA for 2004 and year-to-date 2005 figures. I am trying to keep everything as open as possible and I believe that this will lead to more donations and dues paid on time.
You can send me an email if you did not receive the financials and would like to receive a copy. My email address is serkan@galatasaray-usa.com

The second issue that I would like to talk about is the donations.
You know that dues and donations are our only income. Althougt we are not spending much for operations, we need these contributions to help Galatasaray community.
Our goal for 2005 is $10,000 and I would like to add that this is a very small number if you consider our memberbase.
Please be part of this goal and keep paying your dues. As I mentioned earlier, our finances are wide open to anybody who likes to audit. We can even generate bank statements in PDF and email them to make everything more clear.

The last note I need to add is about our Pilav 2005.
We will have our Pilav in New York. I know that this is not convenient to some of our members who lives outside of New York. I would like say that this decision is made to make sure people from overseas can attend to our Pilav if they want to. Last year we had some visitors from Galatasaray Spor Klubu and this year we are expecting to have some visitors as well.
